| Our day at school
started just like every other day. The usual bell
sounding and the usual hurrying into our classrooms
were heard too. However, once we sat down, the
day began to take its own unique course. It began
with Darryl barksdale presenting an over view
of ‘Culture of Adolescence’. This
was quite enlightening as well as thought-provoking’,
as almost immediately there were points that came
to my mind.
This overview also laid the foundation for us
to carry on with our exercises for the rest of
the day. In other words, the presentation was
a stimulus. This is true because it led us to
investigate the meaning of culture. First, the
class had input on the meaning of this word, which
means that we had to research this word. After
that, were able to formulate a definition of it,
and presented it before everyone.
After defining what culture is, the class had
a talk/discussion on this subject. This subject
was directly related to adolescent behavior. It
was a discussion that was highly interesting to
say the least, and it opened our eyes to views
that we never had before.
Since we found this discussion interesting, we
had more than enough to go on with, and so, that
afternoon we had an intense group discussion on
‘Culture of Adolescence’. This exercise
was extremely interesting, and so, our intense
group discussion was fruitful for all of us. We
really look forward to studying in this was because
it brings out the best in us, and even some of
the most difficult topics appear to be quite easy
this way.
