| Details: Just
as Louis XVI was known for setting up and bringing
about Orwellianism and double standards in treating
his population, Frederick II was renowned for
being a staunch and religious person who was more
straight forward with his people and would rule
the country in light of his religious honor and
zeal rather than through underhanded procedures
which gave the rich and the elite vast power over
the poor and the needy. Had Frederick II been
in charge, his policies and ruling strategies
would have surely prevented the monarchy from
falling into disarray and ending with a revolution
that swept across the nation.
Conclusion: Frederick II’s set of standards
would have been most analogous with the theories
and philosophies of Voltaire, because as the world
was quickly coming out of its medieval imprint
and making rapid developments in science and medicine,
the modern rulership tactics and ideas employed
by the 13th century Roman Emperor were mostly
optimistic and were far more apt at resolving
the crises France was embroiled in than Louis
XVI, even though they were from very different
times and shared very different leadership approaches
and outlooks.
